At Big Sky we love our summers as much as we do our winters and skiing.  Yellowstone Park is less than an hour away and is a big reason many people visit this area.  But we also have horse-back riding, rafting, summer rides on the ski lifts, the mountain zip-line, golf, concerts & events all summer long, world class trout streams, mountain-biking, hiking, and glorious sunny blue-sky days with star-filled mountain nights.

For a more urban outing Bozeman is a great university town with concerts, parks, restaurants, sidewalk entertainment, shopping, movies, and summer festivals.

Here are some calendars to help you plan a summer visit to Big Sky.

Virginia City, Montana, is about eighty miles northwest of the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It is a living museum, an old west Victorian mining town with most of the commercial part of town preserved so that you can see its architecture and way of life.

Outside Bozeman is the Gallatin Valley's outdoor journal - here is another very good calendar listing activities in the area
